ACID JACKS [04:07:07]
TRIPPIN' ON SUNSHINE

Boris The Spider and Honeysmack are Acid Jacks. According to their bio, they sound like "Glue sniffing zombie sex droids, the future in reverse." Oh yeah, they're here to destroy dance music. And then make it better.

Your music seems to defy classification even to yourself. Where do all your eclectic influences come from?
Most of the time they come from speakers. Other times they come to us in dreams of a forgotten future.

Your music has been released on a variety of labels, what's up with that?
It's really just a matter of demand for our music. Different labels ask for a variety for 'sounds' based on what they've heard us do. The robots that move our hands are the ones that have ultimate say in what we output.

You are involved in remixes just as much as originals. What medium do you prefer to work in?
We like both oil paints and water colours. Although water colours can have such a pleasant calming effect, and oil paints can take a long time to dry. We've had more remixes than we've had hot sex.

How long have you been playing together for?
Since we met in a car accident, we have still kept in contact as legally we have not figured out who's to blame for what. We hope the courts and the insurance companies will figure this out soon.

Tell us about your involvement with One Love?
It's no secret that we're the best thing to ever happen to the Onelove brand. We invented this thing years ago we called 'Micro-Clubbing'. Basicaly taking a forgotten corner of the club (an un-used band room) and turning it into a no-holds-barred DJ death match every week. Sounds common now - but it was sort of innovative at the time. Basically we're really cool and smart and ahead of our time etc.

Any plans to release a full length album soon?
We have a team of sexy mutant mole men working on the album as we speak. It may hurt the first time you hear it, but soon afterwards you wont be able to live with our awesome.

What's something most people don't know about you?
The fat bald guy sometimes cries in his sleep - uncontrollably. It may be due to night terrors. And the skinny moustached guy is still a bed wetter - reasons still unknown.
Nathan Dover

Acid Jacks play at the upcoming Coo Coo KaChoo, Friday July 13 at Monastery. They'll be joined by Sinden (Fabric, UK), Aniki, Rasp, Whisky Tears and Sampology.
