BEATS-Mamy-Rock<< DJ MAMY ROCK

THE AGELESS ROCK
She may be 69, but age is definitely no obstacle for British DJ, Mamy Rock. A resident spot during the 2009 Cannes Film Festival kickstarted proceedings for Mamy aka Ruth Flower, who has since go on to DJ at the legendary Queen club on the Champs-Elysees in Paris. Brisbane gets a slice of Mamy Rock when she touches down at The Met on March 30.

JUICY DIVAS
Local hip hop night, Juicy, continues to offer the best slice of weekly hip hop you can find in Brisbane. Held at the Mustang Bar, the next ‘Juicy’ will be a ‘Diva’ showcase this Thursday February 23. Miss Karleena, Kel On Earth, Indigo Rising, Kayemtee, Mad Boots, Black Carrie and DJ Tash will be rocking the mic. If Brisbane's hottest female hip hop artists aren't enough, Sydney's Class A will be playing ‘Juicy’ on March 1.

DON'T HOLD BACK
Having swapped electro jam sessions at their Darlinghurst apartment for support duties with urban royalty, Usher, The Potbelleez are now fronting their own tour. The regional trip, which has already taken in Bundaberg, Hervey Bay and Rooty Hill (yes, Rooty Hill), stops off in the big smoke this weekend, with The Potbelleez taking over the Hamilton Hotel on Friday February 24.

I’M ON A BOAT
When you talk Australian dance music, Anthony Pappa is a name that needs to be included in the conversation. The London-based Melburnian helped build the local electronic scene before dance music was a legitimate force in this country. Ahead of his Renaissance compilation release, Mr Pappa will be braving the open seas when he plays a boat party in Brisbane, Friday March 16. The ship sails from the Mowbray Park ferry pontoon from 7pm.
