Queensland Museum presents ‘Afghanistan: Hidden Treasures From The National Museum, Kabul’, which showcases over 200 archaeological finds that tell a tale of cultural wonder once thought lost.
The artefacts were thought to have perished hundreds of years ago until they were unexpectedly recovered from secret vaults in 2003.
Part of the exhibition is After Dark, an exotic evening enticing you to explore the heart of the Silk Road. Experience the rich and diverse culture of Afghanistan through music, storytelling and cuisine, and discover why this mystical country still remains unknown to many.
Featuring live music from Triple J’s DJ Sharif Galal, the Silk Road Lounge, Collector’s Bar, traditional tea services, live Afghan cooking demonstrations, and entry to the Afghanistan exhibition, which opens September 5.
After Dark takes place on three Fridays only: October 11, November 15 and December 13.
