‘The Five Venoms’ and ‘The 36th Chamber Of Shaolin’ had a profound effect on a young Robert Diggs when he first encountered them in Manhattan’s 42nd Street grindhouse theatres in the late ‘70s.
Diggs would grow up to be RZA, one of the most influential producers in hip hop, and the two venerable Hong Kong action flicks would eventually underpin the unique philosophy of the Wu-Tang Clan when he unexpectedly led them out of Staten Island and took the world by storm with ‘Enter The Wu-Tang: 36 Chambers’ in 1993.
Take advantage of a very rare opportunity to see these two influential classics in a double screening at the GOMA cinema from 6pm on Friday September 27.
To win one of two double passes to both films This competition has closed.
